Also known as a Hop Spider. Construction design is made out of all stainless steel and dissassembles for easy storage.   Ring sizes available are 4-1/2"OD, 6-5/8"OD and 8-5/8"OD equipped with 2" TIG welded sleeves for the legs to slide into. The legs included will accommodate up to a 22"OD pot. The mesh basket design is currently being made of  a #40 (400 micron) stainless steel mesh and is 18" high at the leg and 19" overall height. Mesh is overlapped with SS rivets. These strainers can be trimmed down to a shorter length if required.

Rating great craftsmanship and service

Zach makes an amazing product. He was incredibly patient working with me to make my strainer fit my kettle. He told me about his setup and he fielded many, many questions about mine. He modified the strainer for free for my system. Even though it was something I probably could have done, I am very happy that it was left to his skilled hands. This strainer is incredibly sturdy and well-made. Thanks!

These hop strainers are great products! I have the 8-5/8" version for my 20 gal BK, and the 4-1/2" version for my 11 gal BK. Both do an excellent job of keeping the pellet hop matter contained, with minimal amounts winding up in the BK. Highly recommended!

Rating Excellent Keggle Accessory

I've put my hop strainer through the paces in my keggle with 10+ batches now and I have to say, it's one of my favorite additions to the brewery. Out of the box, it accommodated my dip tube and is easy to install. It handles whole hops with ease and keeps back the majority of pellets. To clean it, I give it a good soak in oxyclean for a day+ and every few uses, fully break down the bottom and give it a good soaking. I went with the 6.5" version and in hindsight, wish I had gone with the 8.5" version. I would recommend the larger, especially if you like to use whole hops, unless you have good reason. (e.g. your IC) With whole hops, the 6.5" can accommodate about 3.5-4.5oz on a 5G/6G batch and about 12-16oz on a 10G/11G batch. I'm pleased enough with Stainless Brewing and this strainer that I'm mulling purchasing a second one!

Rating This is the best way to strain hops!!!

I've been using Zach's stuff for about 6 months and I have to say his equipment is the finest quality out there. This hop strainer set up is the best. I've tried almost everything out there and this works awesome. I have an electric setup with a plate chiller and whole hops and pelltes stay in this, when its at full boil they get tons of flow and I haven't noticed a difference in the final product. I've used up to 1/2 lb of hops for a 10 gallon IPA and it was good. I have no way to meausure actual IBU but its fine. I got the 400 micron basket. A little particulate matter goes throug but nothing nearlly big enough to clog the plate chiller. Blichman Hop stopper, screens, bazooka tubes, none of them compare to this.
